Pangea after Daniel Cloutier I have never seen a map I didn’t wish to travel over with my fingers, as if I can feel the markings turn into hills and rivers. They shift subtly under my finger tips. I read the legend not as explanation, but as history of places preserved in writing. It is strange how paper holds places together, even briefly. The expansion of the universe is still accelerating, scientists say. Everything is drifting apart. If you bend your science or geography book the spine will break and the pages separate like butterfly wings. People are like those pages; you glue them in your journal to revisit them anytime, to hold them close again.
